Virtual Private Networking

VPN solution exploits Internet technology to provide secure links between sites. If you have found traditional fixed link solutions prohibitively costly and complex to implement then our solution will be of interest to you.

Our solution makes VPN options available to organisations with a distributed operating structure such as branch offices, distant workers or associates. Thus all users, across all sites country or worldwide, have the same features and resource whilst secure communications are maintained. As always, this service is provided with the normal benefits of low maintenance, low cost of ownership and cost effectiveness.

Product features:

A server is installed at HQ and at all designated branch offices. In use, these servers take the data set for transmission and apply encryption. Once the data is securely wrapped inside it sends packets of data through a 'virtual tunnel' across the Internet to the servers at other locations. It does this by sending data to a local Internet service node to which it is linked via a leased line or other permanent connection. The receiving servers at the remote office accept the package, decrypt the data and deliver it safely to its intended location. Using this connection it creates a virtual private network between the branch offices and the corporate HQ across the Internet.

Cost savings are largely made by the use of inexpensive circuits to make a connection. This will avoid significant set up and hefty monthly telco charges. Branch offices may be connected by lower speed links, bringing further cost reductions. The HQ server needs to be permanently connected since it 'listens' for incoming VPN traffic 24 hours a day.
